Sandhaanu was the most outspoken voice against the totalitarianism regime in the Maldives that suppressed the people’s democracy. Sandhaanu withstood against every adversity with determination. The regime could not silence the voice and avoid the first multi-party elections held in 2008, even though the entire team was subjected to life imprisonment. Sandhaanu stands for justice and equality in the society
